Persuasive Toys for Kids

Have you ever gotten an outstanding present? I have but I stopped playing with it. You probably have too. No one plays with one of their toys forever. What do you parents think you should get your kids for Christmas?
You parents should buy your kids something that will be worth while.
Kids waste your money and never play with the toys you get them for Christmas or they play with it for three or four days then they get bored of it. They say they like something until they find it under their tree. The other reason they say they like it so they won’t hurt your feelings. If it’s something they like they will play with it. If they don’t like it, it was a waste of money.
Your kids will not play with a gift they don’t like. You might as well ask them what they want instead of wasting your money. Christmas is all about not knowing what you will get. Most people like a surprise, but others want to know if their parents got them what they wanted.
You should two or three less costing presents to have a better chance of your kids to like them. Getting something you’ve been wanting is awesome because you will play with it. Your kids might not like any of the two or three presents you get them. You have a better chance of them liking them. They could even like all of them.
Christmas is all about the surprise. Just waking up to see all those presents under the tree is exciting. You open all of the presents and you don’t like any of them. Some toys your parents should get you are some bakugan, legos, or a transformer action figure. Your kids might like it.

Dear Santa

Dear Santa,

Christmas is coming and it’s time for presents. As Santa you have the power to grant wishes for all the little kids of the world. It would brighten my Christmas day to find an NBA 2k11 video game for the Xbox 360 under my Christmas tree. It would be good for my cousin and I because it will strengthen our hand-eye coordination.
I currently have NBA 2k10 for my PSP but it freezes regularly. I will play it when I’m bored, I also play for a basketball team and enjoy playing as my favorite team. If you bring me this gift I will not play it all the time and still do my school work.
I have no job seeing that I’m in 6th grade and no way of buying it myself. I have a lot of spare time on my hands because I don’t get much homework so, you’re gift will not be wasted. I will have fun playing it everyday. It will show me the rules and how I should play in my games.
Thank you for reading my letter.

From,
Moiz Manzoor

Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving is great. You get to gather with your whole family. My aunt cooks the best food and my cousin said he wishes he could eat her cooking for the rest of his life. On Thanksgiving you get to eat a turkey which people usually don't eat. You also eat corn bread, corn, lasagna, mashed potatoes, and stuffing. My family eats a lot because we have about 20 people.

Gratitude

I’m thankful for video games because they’re really fun. I play video games with my family and my cousins. I have an Xbox 360, Play station 2 and 3, a Game cube, a Dreamcast, a DS, a DSI, and seven TV’s to play on. I have about 70 video games but only play around 6. I usually play with my cousin and we talk about what we are doing in school and what is going on around the houses. I’m thankful for video games because it give me something to do when I’m bored and have nothing to do.

Halloween

I love Halloween. I love going into different neighborhoods and getting all the candy. Last year I got soda from one house. Every year my candy doesn't last very long because I go home and eat it all. Then I steal candy from what we were giving out and my little sister.

Does Patriotism Still Matter

Patriotism still matters because without it there would be no freedom. No freedom of religion, no freedom of speech, and no freedom of the press. When I hear the word patriotism I think of freedom, Independence Day, Veterans Day, sacrifice, the United States, and love for our country.
Patriotism still matters because with it the army protects us. All the army veterans are important to everyone because of them we have what we have. We have a good supply of everything. Without patriotism there would be no freedom because there wouldn’t be an army.
Patriotism still matters because without it we wouldn’t have won the Revolutionary War. If it wasn’t for patriotism the U.S. wouldn’t have won all the wars that we did. Without it no one would care for their country and that means there would be no order and no one would vote or care about politics.
Patriotism still matters because without it the country would be in chaos. No one would care what would be going on. If something bad happened like, we lost a war no one would care because they don’t have patriotism.
I have patriotism because I would go into war when I am older if the army needed me. I love also war videogames like Halo3 and Call of Duty. I think it would be cool to be with army veterans because they’ve done so much for us. If I have to go into the army I would want to be on the Special Forces.
I am very proud of all the army veterans. They show real patriotism by fighting for our rights. They fight for our freedom. Army veterans risk their lives for everyone everyday in our country. Army veterans with a lot of patriotism also help out rookies to become more patriotic.

Ralph Fletcher's Marshfield Dreams:When I Was A Kid

In Ralph Fletcher's Marsh field Dreams:When I Was A Kid, we read five stories about him being a kid. some were emotional and others were interesting. Our English teacher Mrs.Patalano read the first three stories with us and helped us fill out the organizer.
The first story we read was "My First Pen." It told about his dad giving him his first pen. At first he thought it was just a cheap BIC but then he started writing really good stories with it. My favorite part about the Story was his closing sentence.
The next story was "Bobby." In this story he tells how Bobby was the fifth baby and he never complained.I like how Ralph Fletcher used forshadoeing by saying that Bobby would never know what was going to happen.Bobby lived a normal life until he was killed in a car accident in his last year of high school.
In the next story "Baseball" he tells how he and his brother join a baseball team. He said it bored the heck out of his brother and he just looked up at the sky or dug in the grass for bugs to pass time. I liked the way he still played even though his allergies would act up really badly. He also said he loved watching the Red Sox play on television and that he could just imagine the game withe the wet cloth on his eyes.
In "Marsh field" he said he liked going through the woods. I like what he said when his shoe got stuck in the mud. If one of my shoes got stuck in mud and i was never going to get it back I would throw the other one too, because there's no point of having one shoe and not the other. I think it's cool that he finds stuff there because the stuff he said he found is cool.
In the last story called "Last Kiss" he talks about every night when his mom and dad both give him a kiss but then his dad stops giving him kisses and he he gets sad.I liked how he remembered talking to his dad about the jellyfish and how they drift away from each other then said he was drifting away from his dad like jellyfish

My Brett Favre signed football

My object is my Brett Favre football. It is special to me because my dad gave it to me even though it was supposed to be his. When my dad gave it to me he gave it to me in a glass case, a picture of him sighning it, and a kicking tee. I got it when I was 9 when Brett Favre came to the New York Jets which is my favorite football team. I go to a Jets came every chance I get. My football is my favorite thing I own because on the football it has his stats from when he was on the Greenbay Packers. It also says it's a limited edition 12 0f 25
